Habitat: Wood Count in Daugherty Creek Streams |
|
Caption: The above chart shows results from large wood surveys conducted by Mendocino Redwood Company in 2000. The brown bars illustrate the density of all wood deemed to provide function for fish cover or bed scour. The red bars illustrate the measured density of those pieces qualifying by size and stream channel width to provide key functions of channel shape and maintenance. Functional wood count includes all wood except for debris jams, of which there were none in the Daugherty Creek sub-basin. Click on Info links for more information.
