Caption:  The total catch in the California Department of Fish and Game's fyke net gives an indication of the aquatic vertebrate community structure in Caspar Creek. Coho smolts exceeded steelhead smolts by 300% in 1987. The numbers of young-the-year outmigrants are unusually low. Numbers of fish trapped cannot be construed as a fish population estimate because of unknown trap efficiency and avoidance of the trap by fish at higher flows. See Info Links for more information.
