Stream Channel: Width/Depth Ratio at all Battle WA Sites |
|
Caption: The width to depth ratio of the channel of Battle Creek and its tributaries was measured at 50 sites as part of the Battle Creek Watershed Assessment to assist in determining the Rosgen channel type. Width to depth ratios can be an indicator of sediment over-supply, which can make the channel shallower and wider. Other parameters used for channel typing are entrenchment, sinuosity and slope. Data are from Terraqua. See Info Links for more information.
