Habitat: Redwood Creek Streamside Cover Conditions 1995 |
|
Caption: Streamside cover conditions were measured in six reaches along mainstem Redwood Creek and one reach in tributary, Fern Creek, in the summer of 1995 by the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GOGA). GOGA notes that although Pacific Way-Hwy 1 had the greatest percentage of streamside cover in 1995, this has likely changed because of recent bank protection activities in this area. In addition, GOGA states that Big Lagoon-Pacific Way had the lowest percentage of streamside cover, but was the only reach with some significant instream vegetation (i.e. tules and cattails in Big Lagoon).
