Fish: Redwood Creek Spawner Salmonid Count by Station 1994-1995 |
|
Caption: Salmonids, with a focus on coho salmon, were counted in Redwood Creek during the 1994-1995 spawner season by Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GOGA). The graph shows these observations by station going downstream. GOGA notes that no coho or redds were observed in the study area below Pacific Way bridge, which is within the potential Big Lagoon restoration site. In addition, it was noted that between Stations 9 and 10, which had the highest frequency and density of "other" and "spawning" fish, are two large holding pools. One of these pools has since been decreased in surface area and depth due to sediments and loss of woody debris.
