Fish: Redwood Creek Juvenile Salmonid Abundance (Fish/100ft) 1995 |
|
Caption: The graph shows the average estimated number of juvenile salmonids per 100 feet at several sites in Redwood Creek in August 1995. The length of the surveys is on the axis at right and sites on the X-axis are in downstream order to the right. Heavy flooding occurred in January and March of 1995. However, overall coho salmon density in 1995 were similar to 1992 and 1993 (although the density pattern throughout the stream was different) and steelhead trout young-of-year were much more abundant than 1992-1994. Data were collected by Dr. Jerry J. Smith of San Jose State University for the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. See Picture for a map of the sampling sites and Info Links for more information.
