Aquatic Invertebrates: Redwood Creek EPT Taxa 1997 |
|
Caption: The Golden Gate National Recreation Area staff have collected aquatic invertebrate data from Redwood Creek. The results displayed above show the number of species or taxa of mayflies (Ephemeroptera), stoneflies (Plecoptera), and caddisflies (Trichoptera) collected at several locations in November 1997 orders, which are pollution intolerant, is known as the EPT Taxa. The results are similar to 1995 and indicate that the community is more diverse in Muir Woods in the upper watershed and decrease progressively downstream. The 1995 and 1997 results are not cross comparable because they were collected at different times of year. See Info Links for more information.
