WQ: Dissolved Oxygen in Estero de San Antonio/Stemple Creek 1992-1993 |
|
Caption: Dissolved oxygen was measured at twelve locations, with varying frequencies, in the Stemple Creek watershed by the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (NCRWQCB) from 1990-1994. The graph shows data collected at five locations (going downstream from left to right) from 1992-1993. The maximum concentration found among all stations and monitoring events was 11.0 mg/L, and the minimum concentration was 0.1 mg/L. The reference values represent the minimum NCRWQCB Stemple Creek TMDL thresholds to be met by 2004 at a specific saline (5.0 mg/L) and freshwater (6.0 mg/L) location in the watershed (Salisbury, 1997). In addition, a target of 7.0 mg/L must be met in the creek and estuary wherever and whenever the aquatic habitat is suitable for salmonid migration, rearing, and spawning and 9.0 mg/L during critical spawning and egg incubation periods, which is defined as applicable when and where anadromous fish redds are located. See Picture for monitoring locations and Info Links for more information.
