| Caption: Average monthly rainfall for the Americano Creek watershed was determined by Questa Engineering Corporation, for the City of Santa Rosa and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, from equally weighted historical data collected at Sonoma County Water Agency rainfall gauges (Gerritson and Erikson). The time period of compiled rainfall data from these two stations was not directly noted. Three monthly averages were derived: an overall average was determined from the monthly average of all years, a dry conditions average was estimated from the lowest 30 percent of rainfall years, and a wet conditions average was estimated from the highest 30 percent of rainfall years. Questa also calculated similar monthly rainfall averages for Stemple Creek and Tolay Creek. See Picture for a map of the gauging station locations. | |
