STREAM GAUGES

Locations of gauges for stream monitoring stations were obtained as text files in Lat/Long format for California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana, and downloaded from the USGS website.  These data were then used to generate a spatial database of points representing the locations.  Data were then reprojected from geographic (Lat/Long) to UTM in meters, Zone 10, NAD27.   Although there were no official accompanying metadata, the following information was provided.

 for sites in California.

  site_no         -- Site identification number
  dec_lat_va      -- Decimal latitude
  dec_long_va     -- Decimal longitude
  dec_coord_datum_cd -- Decimal Latitude-longitude datum


DOCUMENTATION DATES:

   January, 2003:     Reprojected to UTM NAD27 (no shift), and clipped to KRIS Project study area.
